St. Joseph Campus: Infant-8th Grade
St. Joseph Campus
Divine Providence Academy at St. Joseph was originally founded in 1865 as a two- classroom school house located just south of St. Joseph Church. St. Joseph School, as it was called at the time, welcomed the Sisters of Mercy to teach in 1887, and the Sisters of St. Dominic in 1893. A new brick building was opened to students in 1910, and is the current home of Divine Providence Academy today.
Our rich history has made Divine Providence Academy at St. Joseph an integral part of the West Michigan community. Serving students in Infant and Toddler through Eighth Grade, we focus on individualized education and meeting students at their “just right” level.
Students are encouraged to grow spiritually as well as academically through weekly Mass, adoration, and participation in holy days throughout the year.
1-1 Technology
Each student is assigned to their own Chromebook to use as a tool to increase their learning in the classroom
In our multi-age classrooms, we rely on Individualized Education
Individualized Education ensures that no student is working behind, struggling to
catch the class. Likewise, students who have mastered a concept aren’t sitting idle, burning
growth potential; they move on to the set of skills appropriate for their readiness.
