As a Catholic community, Divine Providence Academy welcomes all students to receive an individualized education in a nurturing environment centered in God and in service to others.
Divine Providence Academy has been an exemplar model of a Catholic micro-school with multi-age classrooms since its inception in 2011. The National Catholic Educational Association recognized its excellence in 2021 in the text Greatness in Smallness: A Vision for Catholic Microschools. Authors Kevin Baxter, Ed.D., and Jill Annable visited and consulted with DPA throughout its writing, and the publication of the text has enlightened Catholic schools throughout the United States for the visionary approach DPA has for the education of children in the faith and academics.
“Divine Providence Academy became our exemplar flagship school as we wrote Greatness in Smallness: A Vision for Catholic Microschools. It is from DPA that we found excellence in Catholic micro-schools. The text is now in the hands of all Catholic superintendents in the United States, and its pages have inspired hope and built collective wisdom regarding intentionally small schools like DPA that are shaping future generations of Catholic school students.” – Jill Annable, co-author
